Good to know

A few things worth knowing before you come.
Cielo Andaluz is an off-grid finca. That means we manage our own water, solar energy and waste, and ask guests to use these resources thoughtfully.
For Farm Stays, you’ll need your own car. The final approach includes steep sections and an unpaved rural road. Most standard cars are suitable, but drivers should feel comfortable with this kind of terrain.
Availability
Farm Stay availability changes throughout the year.
Tell us your preferred dates, how many people are travelling and how long you would like to stay. We’ll let you know what’s available.
FAQ
Is my room or cottage private?
Yes. Your booked accommodation is private to you. Rooms and cottages have their own private bathrooms, while common areas such as the main kitchen, living room and outdoor spaces may be shared with us and other Farm Stay guests.
Can I work remotely?
Yes. We have high-speed internet suitable for everyday remote work and video calls, as well as plenty of indoor and outdoor space to work from.
Can I cook?
Yes. Farm Stay guests have access to the main kitchen and shared dining spaces. From time to time, we may also share meals with guests staying longer, but this is informal and not part of the stay.
Do I need a car?
Yes. A car is required for individual Farm Stays. The final approach to the finca includes steep sections and an unpaved rural road. Most standard cars are suitable, but drivers should be comfortable driving on this kind of terrain.
What does off-grid living mean for guests?
The finca runs only on solar power and we manage our own water and waste systems. Water and electricity are finite resources, so we ask guests to use them thoughtfully and avoid high-consumption appliances. We also separate and recycle waste and encourage biodegradable personal-care and cleaning products.
Is there air conditioning?
No. All accommodation has natural cross-ventilation and ceiling or standing fans.
Do the hosts live onsite?
Yes. We live at Cielo Andaluz in a separate area and continue caring for the land and the finca while guests are here.
Are there animals around the finca?
Yes. Margarida, our dog, and our chickens live here. As a rural finca, the land is also home to insects, birds and other local wildlife.
Can I bring a pet?
No. We are not able to accommodate guest pets.
Can I join activities or help on the land?
Yes, when the timing is right. Workshops, farm visits and other activities happen seasonally, and guests who are interested may also be able to join us in simple tasks happening on the land.
Can I explore the finca?
Yes. Guests are welcome to walk through the areas of the finca open to them, spend time on the terraces and paths, and experience the land as it changes through the seasons.
Will I be sharing the finca with other guests?
Possibly. Farm Stay accommodation is private to each room, but the main house and some outdoor spaces are shared. Depending on the dates, there may be other Farm Stay guests staying at the finca. There is no organised social programme, so you can take part in shared life as much or as little as feels natural.
